Carolina Pace was born in Rome where she started playing the recorder as a child.
She studied at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in Switzerland, and she graduated in recorder with Kathrin Bopp, specialising in Renaissance and Baroque repertoire.
She attended master classes with Marion Verbruggen, Pedro Memelsdorff and Dan Laurin and studied baroque oboe with Andrea Mion.
She regularly plays in duo with lutenist Michele Carreca and together they founded the Ensemble La Selva.
She plays with other ensembles including laVerdi Barocca, Simphonie du Marais, Accademia Ottoboni, Concerto
de'Cavalieri, Orchestra del Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, Cappella Musicale Enrico Stuart, Musica Perduta, Camerata Artemisia, Ensemble Morgaine, the dance company No Gravity.
She performed in Italy, Algeria, Azerbaijan, Brazil, France, Germany, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Russia, Spain, Switzerland and the United States.
As a soloist and in ensemble she has recorder for the labels Stradivarius, Da Vinci Classics, Brilliant Classics, Classic VoiceAntiqua, Urania Records and played live for Rai Radio Tre and Radio Vaticana.
She has been teaching recorder at the ‘A. Vivaldi’ conservatory in Alessandria and currently teaches at the ‘ Istituto G. Braga’ in Teramo.
